Scott Kieran is General Manager, Strategic Initiatives, Risk and Acting Group Head of Operational Risk at Westpac Group. With more than 30 years of global experience in risk and internal audit, he has held senior leadership roles at Westpac, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and UBS across the Asia-Pacific region. Scott has provided assurance and oversight for strategic risk initiatives and supports the management of non-financial risk across key operational risk classes, including those relating to operational resilience. He also chairs Westpac’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Risk Management Standard Forum, driving the consistent embedment of AI risk management practices across the Group. Scott is a Chartered Accountant and Professional Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Australia.
