Marcus Weare is a senior risk and compliance leader with over 18 years’ experience across banking and insurance, spanning Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom. He brings deep expertise in non-financial and operational risk, regulatory compliance and resilience for highly-regulated financial services firms. Marcus has previously held senior leadership roles at EY in Sydney and New York where he built and led EY Australia’s Controls Transformation team, established and led the ongoing Financial Services Controls Forum, and designed EY’s risk and controls analytics platform, ProActive. Prior to EY he worked at IAG in Group Risk and Compliance, helping design and implement enterprise risk management frameworks and leading business continuity initiatives.
