Christopher Schaub

Speaker bio: Chris is part of the Australian and New Zealand financial risk team based in Sydney. Chris has been delivering risk management solutions into the financial sector for over 25 years to meet compliance and business needs. Chris joined SAS in 2010 to head up the Operational Risk, Governance & Compliance solutions area and has since been appointed Business Solutions Manager for Risk helping customers optimise their credit risk processes and meeting regulatory requirements. His key focus is Expected Credit Loss (IFRS9), Regulatory Capital(Basel III), Enterprise Stress Testing, Asset & Liability Management and Model Risk Governance. Chris combines his risk business acumen and practical experience to capture the customers’ business requirements and map the right capabilities to transform and drive optimum business outcomes. Prior to joining SAS, Chris has worked at several international banking software vendors delivering risk and compliance solutions as part major risk transformational programs at global ASX listed financial institutions. Chris brings with him international experience including 25 years living, studying and working across Europe, 4 years in the UK and 5 years in Asia. He holds a degree in Computer Science, Diploma of Financial Services (FINSIA), CAMS and is an accredited project manager PMP/PMBOK (PM-Partners Group).
