Tim Lear is AUSTRAC’s General Counsel and National Manager, Legal and Enforcement.

Tim leads the Legal and Enforcement branch as head of AUSTRAC’s legal service and responsible for AUSTRAC’s enforcement functions. This includes overseeing AUSTRAC investigations and litigations, legal services, freedom of information and privacy teams.

Tim commenced in AUSTRAC in May 2023, with a career spanning various legal and regulatory roles focused on establishing enforcement functions in regulators and managing complex legal disputes.
