Biographie

Dr. Stephan Dua Modest is a researcher and lecturer at RMIT University. His current research focuses on business sustainability and the intersection of sustainability drivers and sustainability communication. This research explores the nuanced relationship between Greenwashing, Greenhushing and genuine sustainability communication in Australian firms and seeks to understand how market mechanisms, socio-economic factors and the regulatory landscape influence communication choices. Stephan also conducts research in the renewable energy sector where he investigates Australia’s clean hydrogen value chain in the context of the global energy transition. He is passionate about the UN sustainable development goals and using technological innovations to achieve sustainability outcomes. Stephan holds a BSc. in Business Information Systems from the Berlin School of Economics and Law, a M.A. in International Relations from the Australian National University and a PhD. from Monash University.
