Jacques Botha is a seasoned risk executive with over twenty years’ experience in the financial services sector. As General Manager, Financial Risk at Challenger, he leads the organisation’s financial risk strategy, covering market, liquidity, credit and capital risk. Jacques is a standing member of Challenger’s Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) and plays a key role in driving risk-informed decision-making aligned with the group’s strategic objectives. Jacques holds master's degrees in Mathematical Trading & Finance, and Game Theory. He is passionate about integrating analytics with sound risk judgment to deliver resilient, forward-looking outcomes.
